Images not loading in WordPress admin. I made the folders and files maximum access rights, but the problem was not solved.

sudo chown -R www-data:www-data /usr/share/wordpress

You probably have a root user on the folder or some other.

updating WP is the last solution. Try to read what is written in the error and not throw off the part - that's the right decision, maybe there are several reasons - not enough space, another folder owner, wrong ftp client.
