Wordpress, Drupal, Modx, which CMS to choose for the portal?

Hey!
Dear community,
I am developing a site and deciding which CMS to choose and whether to install LAMP or LEMP.
I'm going to put the site on the VPS: 512 MB frames, 1200 Hz, 15 GB SSD, 50 Mbit / s channel
From the CMS, I'm still considering wordpress, drupal, modx options.
The site will have a search, registration and comments. Then I plan to make it possible for users to add material, send messages, add to favorites.
The site structure is as follows:
Main (domain.ru) -> Category 1 (category1.domen.ru) -> Subcategory 1 (category1.domain.ru/subsubcategory1) -> Article (category1.domain.ru/subsubcategory1/article)
While I plan quantity:
Categories: 8-10 pieces;
Sub-categories (in one category) average : 10-20 pcs ;
Articles (on the first couple) in one subcategory: 10-20 pcs.
it is possible that the total number of articles "in time" will be 10,000 pieces and will increase =)
Googling, I realized that you can make such a site on these CMS, the only thing is that my knowledge in using them is still limited, in principle they are for me are now the same.
The question for me which CMS to choose is not rhetorical,) the point is, the goal is:
- to implement fast page loading;
- add various user functions to the site;
- less load on UPU resources;
- the ability to use CMS with constantly added material.
Now I'm leaning towards the modx system, due to the fact that the reviews about the system are not very complicated, the sites are quite fast and others ... but is it possible to implement such a site? (I don’t know)
In general, I can’t objectively evaluate any of the CMS according to the requirements of the site, please advise what to choose? maybe a different system would be better? and what to install LAMP or LEMP?

Buddy, if you really want to understand everything you wrote about, I recommend studying drupal 7 (still this version). Below are the arguments:
1. This is a universal framework for developing sites of any direction and complexity
2. Uncountable number of free modules on the CMS site (FREE)
3. An excellent community of professional programmers around the world
4. An excellent API for developing your modules (You need to feel this in progress)
5. A lot of literature from such competent publishers as O'Reilly and A-PRESS
6. After studying Drupal, many other CMS will seem like children's toys with disabilities
7. You can do everything on Drupal, you just need to be able to cook, like in all other matters of life.
8. Drupal has little freebies, which pays off in the end with extensive knowledge
9. Drupal core is an example of excellent procedural code, so it can be taken as a basis for learning.
10. Don't be a wimp, don't be afraid to start programming in Drupal, you'll say thank you later!
Drupal is most focused on Apache, so I recommend using LAMP when developing. Do not go into LEMP, it can kill a beginner, since this is an assembly with an nginx web server - the entry threshold is much higher. Don't look for complications.

Personally, having worked with all three of these, I would recommend Wordpress. As a last resort, if you have a lot of free time and high stress resistance, Drupal.
As answered above, a good option would be to first "poke" the CMS you are interested in and try to make basic functionality on them.

As for me, the most logical option is to use livestreet cms - livestreetcms.ru , for example, cookorama.net is made on it, a pretty cool portal.

Wordpress , just don't forget to organize caching.

Thank you!
I "poked" them, so superficially, you can do it (of course, you will have to "poke" more)
But modx, can I choose it? Will there be problems with it during administration and if there are more than 10,000 articles?
