Wordpress and BEM?

Hello, is it normal to use the BEM methodology with Wordress? I took a lecture with Dmitry Lavrik and he said that BEM with Wordpress is a pain?

And I also want to add that on ThemeForest I have never seen markup in which BEM is used ...
