Word how to use any character in replacement?

Hello!
I want to replace in the Word to remove all the signs "-" (dash and space), which come exactly after the letters.
Those. in the words "board", "house" I change to "board" and "house", but without touching expressions like "I am" (here the dash does not go immediately after the word).
I found the expression "^$-" with special characters, where ^$ is any letter, but it finds including the letter, so the letter is deleted in the replacement ((
How can I make the correct replacement, given that there can be any letter before the dash sign?
