Wireless charging - can it be embedded in metal?

Good afternoon!
The customer asks to integrate wireless charging for phones into the advertising terminal. Metal body (1.5mm + painting). If you embed it into the terminal in such a way that the surface is above the metal (by the same principle as they are built into ordinary wooden tables) - will this interfere with work?
