How is it licensed? Is the allowed number of RDP connections equal or not to CAL connections? ("Windows Server 2019 Essentials comes under a single license that includes CALs (up to 25 users/50 devices)")

Windows Server Essentials most often assumes the role of a domain controller, and for security reasons, combining DC and RDS within one server is highly discouraged. Anywhere Access and 2 connections for server administration are available to you, a separate server is required to install a full-fledged RDS server
