Windows 8.1 and "Please wait" / "Locking", has anyone come across?

Greetings.
For almost a year now I have been facing a curious problem - it is impossible to log in on a machine with Win 8.1 - instead of a logon screen (with fields for entering a username / password), the inscription "Please Wait" is displayed or, if you disable the lockscreen in the registry, "Locking". As a rule, this happens after locking the machine by pressing Win + L, less often it happens after "waking up" the machine from sleep. There is no way to exit this screen, although the machine does not hang at the same time - if the lockscreen is on, then the "curtain" closes this inscription after a minute of inactivity, but if you press something on the keyboard, "Please Wait" is displayed again. Helps only hardrezet.
I went through all the technets I know, but I didn’t find anything similar - usually a similar problem manifests itself in the fact that the machine cannot be started, after the initial boot of the system it gets stuck on the “Please Wait” screen. I don’t have a problem with starting from scratch, the only problem is unlocking a machine that was blocked during operation.
The problem sometimes happens 2-3 times a day, sometimes it lets go for a week, but usually you have to resort to a hard reset at least a couple of times during the working week; As usual, usually at the most inopportune moments.
Interestingly, the problem began to recur a couple of months after moving to a new clean laptop. No specific software is needed - MS Office, Oracle Dev Suite, Novell client, VMware player. Kaspersky. I did not notice any dependence of the manifestation of the bug on running applications.
The local helpdesk shrugged it off, it’s easier for them to give out another clean laptop, but I don’t want to spend a day again transferring the entire date to a new machine in order to run into the same bug after some time. But the search for a solution, I repeat, did not lead to anything, hands down.
Maybe someone has experienced something similar?
