Windows 10 goes out when usb is connected. Why?

I bought a used computer dell OptiPlex 9020
The same as here
When connected to the first usb port on the front panel, the screen starts flashing with all the colors of the rainbow, as if the video card has failed. The sound disappears and the PC does not react to anything, except for a forced reboot.
It appears only from under Windows.
Bios loads fine.
P.S. Too bad you can't attach a video

With a probability of 90%, this is a physical problem with the port (more precisely, with the connector in the case). Usually solved like this: do not use the problem port; in order not to use it out of forgetfulness, you can seal it with tape.
Other methods:

  • Get a soldering iron and fix it if it fixes. :) But few people do this.
  • Buy a new case and transfer all the hardware from the old to the new case.

The remaining 10% is also a physical problem, but on the motherboard. The first solution (do not use the problematic port) works in this case as well.

The wiring going to the port to the motherboard is incorrectly hooked up.
