Win7 and Ubuntu 18 on VirtualBox how to share files?
Good afternoon
On Win7 there is VirtualBox and there is Ubuntu 18.04
There is a router from where the computer is connected by cable
Help me figure out the issue of access to folders.
Created a connection via Host-only adapter -
Just the first (1.) question. Can I set arbitrary ip addresses in the adapter and DHCP server settings? Not in the sense of 666.777, but there 192.168.50 192.168.150 does this affect something and how is it connected with the ip address of the Internet connection?
(2.) From Ubuntu, I can see Comp-Host in Networks and through the password I can get into the shared folders. And can I connect to the Host not through the name but through the smb://ip-address - which one? - I enter the one in the network connection and it fails
(3.)I also see a shared Ubuntu folder there and I can’t get into it. There Domain - the working group as in Windows. And I enter the password and does not let me. Not that it was necessary much, but it is not clear why?
(4.) Now I'm trying to connect to the shared folder (didn't set access to guests) - Enter Network Password pops up - and I don't know what to enter. Group\User or Company Name\User? I tried all the options, but I couldn't get in.
Help me to understand.
