Will X-Accel-Redirect work if nginx is for static and apache is for php processing?

Worth apache (back) + mod_php + nginx (front)
Will uploading files via X-Accel-Redirect work?
Because php handles apache...

It will, nginx transfers control for issuing a file to the backend and it doesn’t care what is there.
