Will there be updates to the django admin interface?
Good evening.
I'm just interested in the issue of updating the interface (one might say design, functionality) of the standard django admin officially, from the creators. Yes, I know that I can use third-party solutions or finish the design myself to the desired condition, but I would like to know when the developers will resolve this problem at the level of the framework itself.
So, is there any movement in this direction?
Thanks and happy new year :)

If Django is supposed to have some setting that changes the interface, then I guess it won't. You can always add your own css and draw your own interface, or use ready -made applications .
You probably do not understand that django is a framework, not a cms.
For developers, and frameworks are for developers in the first place, the admin panel is sufficient and minimalistic, just like the framework itself. And for the "beauty" or "user convenience", personal accounts and admin panels of project managers are created. Or ready-made solutions are taken, which are full, for every taste and color. And this is the policy of the creators of Junga. Vryatli they will leave her. Rather, they will simplify further, as they did with the same comments, moving them to third-party libraries, removing them from the framework.
You may not have noticed, but in release 1.7, the admin panel has been updated. The styles have been corrected, jquery has been updated (the previous one was already from 2010).
However, please note: the admin area is not part of the django core, but lies in contrib. That is, it can not even be included in the project.
UPD: Judging by this discussion , in release 1.9 there will be new styles for the admin area, taken from here .
