Will the situation change much if you install additional 4GB of RAM?

There is a laptop Sony VAIO VPC-EH1L1R (Core i3 2310M 2100 Mhz / 4096M ... with clean Windows 10, so even on a clean system it is quite difficult to use just a browser, such as Chrome. Pages take a long time to load, I'm not talking about opening several tabs in parallel In the
performance report, I noticed that the RAM is almost always used by 50 percent, given the work in Chrome, this is understandable, but the processor and disk itself are not particularly
loaded. In this laptop, you can easily add a second (at the moment empty) memory chip, I chose a memory with a complete repetition of the characteristics of the current installed one (the only difference is in the number of chips on the board itself, on the existing 8 on one side, in the new one - 4).
So I would like to know how much such an upgrade will improve performance? Nothing but the work of the browser is not planned :)

Modern browsers are the most popular memory hogs.
4GB by current standards is very small, for comfortable work you need 8-16GB.
Increasing memory will definitely improve the situation, but how much is the question.
There is another bottleneck in your laptop - the disk.
Ideally, and change it to an SSD.
