Will the removal of unused modules in Bitrix increase the speed of the site?
There are many modules installed in the system on the "Business" edition.
Most are not used.
If you remove these modules, will the website speed increase?
Or is there no relationship?

The very fact that the module files exist in the /(bitrix|local)/modules folders does not guarantee the installation, let alone the connection of the module.
Thus, we get the following:
- If the module is physically absent in the /(bitrix|local)/modules folders, then it does not directly affect the performance of the site. Indirect influence is still possible in other installed and connected modules (during the module installation and connection check), but such an influence is not significant and should not be taken into account.
- If the module is present in the folders, this does not guarantee its installation, and its installation does not guarantee the connection of the module on the hit. In this case, Bitrix still spends a little more time (to know that such a module exists), but such an impact is not significant at all and is negligible to take into account its impact on the site loading speed.
Thus, in order for it to somehow affect performance, the following conditions must be met:
1) It must be physically uploaded to the site
2) It must be installed
3) It must be connected on hits
The specific impact of the module on performance must be considered for each module separately. For example, disabling the Web Analytics module, on average, gives an increase of at least 5% in page generation speed.
It is important to understand: are we talking about standard Bitrix modules or third-party ones?
If you answer the question as a whole: yes, theoretically, it can give an increase. Since modules can add their own code to the page build and load events, as well as add their own agents.
Removing the standard Bitrix modules is unlikely to give a tangible increase, but it can cause problems.
Removing third-party modules can give a performance boost (page loading speed).
