Will the key to Windows 8.1 SL remain after reinstallation?
Hello! Guys, I have an Asus laptop, it's already like a year old. The bottom line is - there the key is sewn into the BIOS, as I understand it. And every time I reinstall Windows 8.1 Single Language, I do not have to enter the key, it activates the system itself when connected to the waffle. I wrote it down on a piece of paper just in case) So - if I install Windows 7, I use it, and then I install my native Windows 8.1 SL again (but I hope this will not happen) - will the license remain? Or even if something flies, can I enter a previously recorded key? Please explain .. otherwise a dozen is repulsive (maybe in vain), but a seven is always good.

Simply activating with a separate key is not a problem, but depending on what type of license.
There can be a fixed number of activations by key (for example, 2 times).
If the limit is exceeded, Windows will not activate and the key will become useless.
I had an experience when they inserted 8.1 Ult on the laptop by activating KMS, and then I moved it to SL myself and everything continued to work. So yes everything will work.
