Will the HP p420 controller fit in the hp dl 360 g7 server?

The hp p420 controller was purchased - which is installed on hp dl g8
tried to install it in hp dl 360 g7 - it was defined as Mass Storage Slot 1, but no disks are visible, nor initialization fails. Judging by the specs, pci x3 is needed. Have you had any experience running it on this hardware?
Perhaps one system administrator misinformed me, saying that the raid controller is suitable for g7

The 420th controller is not compatible with this generation of servers.
