Will the facebook chat service be available on APIs other than v.1.0?

Friends, according to the link: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/apps/changelo...
The chat/xmpp service will stop supporting in May. The Chat/XMPP service and API, located at chat.facebook.com, will not be available once 1.0 is deprecated.
I want to know if this feature will be available in other, later versions of the API?
