Will such a circuit AC 220V -> DC 18 work?
Hello.
There is such a scheme:
Based like this: transformer 220/12 - diode bridge (1000V, 25A) - capacitor 10000uF 35V
Will it work? I know that it will probably be unstable, but it is important for me that it is assembled from easily accessible parts and is understandable.
Added: needed to power the motor 18V

Well, somewhere something like this, only 18 volts at the output is still a very optimistic estimate, taking into account the appetites of silicon diodes, in fact there will be 15 volts without load.
