Will sata 3 ssd work on a macbook a1342 that supports sata?

Actually there is a laptop, poppy a1342, it costs 250GB sata hard drive, I want to install ssd, but I can’t find ssd sata, only sata3, will it work?

Of course it will.
All versions of SATA are backwards compatible, i.e. the new drive will work fine on the old SATA.
Naturally, the speed will be limited.
There is absolutely no point in looking for an old disk, and you will not find it.

And in a poppy, what is SATA? And in general it should, why not?
The only thing I don’t know is whether there is a hardware binding in MACOS, but I think this can be solved.
