Will I see the results of my work in a large project?

Hello!
I am new to development. I still can't decide on the direction: fron or beakend. I'm leaning towards the Java enterprise backend.
I was just scared by the words that you can write 100 lines of code in the backend and not see the result of your work. Although I think that you can do the same in the frontend.
Do I understand correctly that if the continuous integration server builds 1 time per hour, then I will also see the results of my work only 1 time per hour?
When I wrote a calculator in Java, I first displayed “Hello world” to see that the program was alive.
And I did not participate in team development. So I ask: will I see the results of my work in a large project or will I work “blindly”?

This means that the task that you solved within the framework of the project may eventually be considered unnecessary and it will "not see the light" - it will not be added to the code on the production server, but will remain as a draft. Another option - your task will be transferred to another developer halfway through its solution and your authorship will not remain in it (a technical solution and mentions in the commit history in the version control system - under certain circumstances).

You are confusing assembly and deployment.
And it is not at all clear what you are waiting for. Imagine that you are writing something like 1C. How much do you understand accounting in order to understand exactly how the result of your work will appear in the program?
How much do you understand the business tasks of your customer in order to understand that the results of your work are visible precisely in the form of a UI?
Or do you think that the results of the work must be on the MAIN SITE ON THE FIRST PAGE OF THE CUSTOMER IN CAPITAL LETTERS?

You have such an infantile concept of development ...
