Will a full barrel of gas explode if shot at?

Good evening, tell me, is there a barrel (or container), we will pump gas into it to failure and when fired at this barrel, will it explode or not?
In the gas, by default, there is no oxygen so that it can bang in a closed container?

First, what kind of gas? A barrel of argon will never explode at all.
Secondly, they themselves wrote that there is no oxygen, which means that the process of oxidation of combustible gases will not follow. On the other hand, if there is chlorine and hydrogen, then oxygen is not needed for combustion, a bright flash of light is enough.
If gas is understood as household gas such as propane-butane, then even a cylinder with liquid gas pierced by a bullet will not explode. The worst thing that can happen is that the gas starts to come out of the hole, and if the spark persists and it can ignite the mixture of gas and air, then the flame will form near the cylinder, and not inside.

The question is incorrect. What is meant by "fill up the gas"? And in general, this phrase is needed for the context of the task? And oxygen is also a gas.
Everything is bad.
