Will a 3.5mm jack splitter work for audio and microphone?

There are Marshall Major 2 headphones and they have a microphone. The detachable plug has three black stripes.
What's the question. I want to connect them to my system unit, but it has a separation of audio and microphone connectors. If I buy an adapter, will this circuit work? That is, both audio and microphone?
