WiFi up to 250 meters

Goodnight!

There is a friend's apartment with fast internet, there is my office without internet. Line of sight 250 meters.
What solutions do you recommend? I read about WiFi antennas, but I didn’t really understand, I’m interested in experience.

Ubiquiti NanoStation , easy to install, has a built-in directional antenna. at 300 meters, a bunch of 2 such devices will not experience problems with the weather, and small obstacles in the form of trees. Recommend.

you can make such a canned antenna
with a friend for tests, 250-500 meters in line of sight, speed 30 Mbps. such an antenna is needed from two ends.

You need a directional Wi-Fi antenna.

If snow / rain will not strain, then Wi-Fi is possible. We have a radio channel falling off during heavy snow.

two cheap Wi-Fi points from a long distance, +2 directional low-cost antennas + grounding and you will be happy even in snow and snowstorms.

In my opinion, with direct visibility, there is no point in buying something “special”, it will be enough, as the banks wrote above, as a directional antenna + any AP.
If you stick this whole thing out into the street, then it’s definitely easier and more reliable to buy Ubiquiti NanoStation or the like (links were given above).

Take a 2W amplifier, with line of sight I think it will work fine.
Well, you can also add a small external antenna to it.

If you don’t really want to buy a directional antenna, then google for the word “wifi biquadrate” or “wifi pringles”. Cheap and angry, as well as very exciting in the process of assembly and testing. :)
