Most recently, I became the owner of a phone running Android 2.1 which has a wifi adapter.

Since there is an ADSL modem with wifi at home, of course, I immediately decided to try connecting to this modem via phone. The phone connected, even received an IP address, but did not go online.

I searched for a long time what the problem was, but did not find it. There are no problems with the modem, since a laptop is connected to this modem via wifi and it works, which is even good.

Maybe the whole point is that the Internet is turned on on the computer connected to the modem by cable, but it is normally distributed to the laptop.

Please tell me how to fix.

I can’t install Connectify, because the computer is old and Win7 will not stand it.

Go to the web interface of your modem settings and try to switch and use different types of Wi-Fi signal encryption. I had a similar problem due to the fact that the phone did not understand the selected type of encryption.

Modem ZTE ZXV10 W300? I have a similar problem with htc hero, only it still connects to the Internet, but after a couple of minutes the connection is lost. With htc desire with the same modem, everything is fine.
