WiFi problem?
Good evening, gentlemen,
Netbook: Asus EeePC 1005HA
OS: Ubuntu 10.04.3
Please help with advice, or a link, the problem is this:
I assembled the 3.2 kernel with the latest pf patch. I corrected everything that was necessary for myself, the kernel assembled, installed, after that I checked it, in principle it works absolutely, BUT Wi-Fi stopped working, or rather, as it stopped in the BIOS at boot, the switch is set to the Disabled position and after that it is not possible to turn it on from the system.
Output when booting with kernel 3.2:
[email protected]:~# dmesg | grep wlan
[ 21.608234] eeepc_laptop: wlan hotplug disabled
Output when booting with kernel 2.6.38-13:
[email protected]:~# dmesg | grep wlan
[8.868269] eeepc_laptop: wlan hotplug disabled
[ 69.778859] wlan0: deauthenticating from 00:17:3f:57:06:6c by local choice (reason=3)
[ 69.796109] wlan0: authenticate with 00:17:3f:57:06:6c (try 1)
[ 69.798276 ] wlan0: authenticated
[ 69.823172] wlan0: associate with 00:17:3f:57:06:6c (try 1)
[ 69.825985] wlan0: RX AssocResp from 00:17:3f:57:06:6c (capab=0x411 status =0 aid=1)
[ 69.826000] wlan0: associated
I noticed one more problem with the new kernel: kernel need apparmor 2.4 compatibility patch, there is no such thing with the old one.
Thank you in advance.
