TP-LINK TL-WR1043ND

I and a couple of friends have it (providers are different, PPPoE and L2TP connections). It's been working for me on standard firmware without failures for a year now. The connection does not lose, on the WAN port it keeps honest 100 Mbps (PPPoE). Full WiFi-N, and as a bonus 4 LANs of 1 Gigabit. DD-WRT is supported.
I think you won't find better Zyxel Kinetic for this money. As a bonus, it is possible to connect USB devices (whistles and screws). Recently, a beta version of the firmware has appeared in which there is an automatic switch from a fallen WAN to a whistle and vice versa.
You can take D-Link dir 300 (or 320) is quite a normal choice, I myself use everything is ok
You would not only have to decide on the price, but also on the channel band that you are going to buy from the provider. And then you were advised a number of devices here, which no doubt pull 10-20Mbps without any problems. And it turns out that your task was the requirement to watch online video on 8 computers at once. And 40Mbit (5 * 8) some of the routers on this page will not stretch exactly ...
At home I use ASUS WL-520gC. 4 Lan ports.
www.4data.ru/commodity/wl520gc/ - 1370 rubles in the online store.
http://eax.me/airties-air-4240/ - 1000 rubles for Yandex Market. I've been using it for almost a year, I'm happy. I'm not really sure about the VPN.
http://eax.me/dlink-dir-320-freebsd/ - can be found for 1500, here it has everything you need.
I myself am puzzled by the same search, I think to take this www.ulmart.ru/goods/195633/ First of all, I liked the gigabit internal grid.
Maybe you should increase your budget a little and buy this ubnt.com/rspro . An excellent device, very flexible, both in hardware and in software.
I didn’t take 1043 for myself, I took TL-WR941ND, cheap and angrily as they say) + you can solder the USB yourself.
I've had a D-Link DIR-300 with DD-WRT for several years now. Apparatets, though old, but IMHO good and now costs about 1000 rubles. The only negative is that the maximum speed is only up to 2-3 MB / s (it was checked on torrents - at this speed, the web admin panel starts to get very stupid) ...
