Why Yandex Browser loads the processor?

Laptop, 4 gigabytes, processor 2x2.1 and SSD disk I start the
video in the browser and at a resolution of 720 there is a slowdown, it’s not particularly noticeable on the video, but I notice some kind of rattle in the sound.
In the task manager I see 8-10 Yandex processes each, although one tab is open, if you kill at least one process, the browser crashes. Each process consumes up to 250 megabytes of memory, the total processor load is up to 99%, when the browser is closed, the load drops to 10%.
Has the browser become demanding on the system? By the way, on Android, I demolished this browser, since it also shamelessly loaded a smartphone there.

@dixam

A lot of processes - this is specially conceived, if a tab or extension "falls / freezes", the browser unloads it from memory, but continues to work.
Clean cookies, cache, try to update the browser - sometimes it doesn't work through the menu, then only forcibly - from offsite.
