Why won't the DVD drive open?

Hello.
I have a computer with a Pioneer DVD cutter installed, I turned it off about a year ago when I bought an SSD because there was no extra SATA cable.
Today I didn't need to burn a disc, I bought a cable, connected the drive to the motherboard and to the power supply. When you turn on the computer, it is visible in the list of devices and in the BIOS, when you press the tray eject button, the drive makes a long motor sound, but the tray does not come out.
I opened the drive with a paper clip by pressing on the hole on the panel, after that the tray drives back, but it still does not open. The indicator on the drive is working.
In Device Manager, the drive is also visible.

@gephaest

Something is preventing the tray from popping out.
Try to clean it from drinking.
And try, when you return the tray back to stop it, it should go back to the open state
