Why won't printers and devices open?
On terminal win2008r2 servers lay down printer managers, for those that the "print manager" service will answer. It takes a very long time to load the list of printers and eventually hangs. Accordingly, office browsers, when trying to access the print function, hang on dead. Restarting spooler doesn't help. The win32/spooler/printers folder is a cleanup. The service itself was forcibly killed and restored via the CLI. Yes, even restarting the terminal server does not help. The logs are clean, there are no obvious errors. win2012r2 acts as a print server. Prompt in what direction to dig? what manipulations can be done?
