Why, when turned on, after initializing the BIOS, does the laptop matrix flicker 4 times before loading Windows?

The thinkpad e490 laptop, flickering looks like switching and searching for an interface with the OS loader, although I set the necessary devices in the BIOS. I suspect that this is a feature of thinkpads or is it still a defect? Everything would be fine, this process takes ~ 10 seconds.
ps I updated the bios, it did not help.

Look in the BIOS for the video output priority setting.
Most likely, it configures it when it is turned on.
