Why was the company called "...software"?

In the title and in the copyright at the bottom of "Reget Software".

Why is "Software" an obviously incorrect transcription? It would be more correct at least "software".
I just wondered why a fairly well-known company made such a mistake.

Because they did not use transcription , but transliteration .
