Why use the command line in the terminal?

Now I am learning how to work from the command line in Git Bash. I don't understand why this is all. What is this for? Isn't it also possible to access files through a computer?

You may or may not use it. If you are satisfied with graphical utilities, then there is no problem.
But as a rule, graphical utilities do not provide full functionality and there are places where there is no graphical interface.
When you get used to the command line, then graphic gadgets become unnecessary.
And besides, many graphical utilities under the hood call the same console git.

In short - you can, but if you have such a question, then you are too early in programming.
There are systems without a pre-installed crooked DE, where there are no mice, windows and daddies; besides, Git is a console utility, you can’t drop a file from your daddy into it.
