Why this slider?

There is a layout where the first block has a menu and a slider. In fsh, the slider layer is called the same name, but there are no other pictures or text that would change something. Why is he needed here? Judging by the similar names in the menu and slider, this is all switching to the same blocks. Why is it needed if it's an LP? You don't select a slider, you write it yourself. They throw off the design of the main page, home page, portfolio, etc. You do the rest yourself.
