Why should a mobile developer learn additional Javascript?

Hello!
The essence of the question is this: I know at the moment Objective-C and Swft. Switched more to Swift. There is an abyss of nuances + he went to Open Source, so there is something to learn. Besides, you still have to work.
Now everyone writes indiscriminately that Javascript for mobile users is a step forward.
After spending a day learning the basics of JavaScriptCore, I still did not understand what the new language would give me. To learn it, you need to sacrifice something, but it’s not clear for what, given that Swift is now going to be adapted for many different purposes.
It is clear that just learning a new language, already knowing 2 languages is not a problem, but it takes at least months to develop skills in it.
So, please tell me who is in the subject, what is the use of a person who programs for iOS to learn Javascript?

Now everyone writes indiscriminately that Javascript for mobile users is a step forward.
This is another wave of information garbage.
They are about Cordova/PhoneGap/Ionic. Cross-platform JS solutions that work (badly) on all platforms.
So, please tell me who is in the subject, what is the use of a person who programs for iOS to learn Javascript?
There is no practical use.

Yes, this is bullshit, nothing in terms of quality can replace native development. Keep learning swift don't forget objective c and don't blow your mustache. All mobile js solutions are quick and dirty solutions.

Development on Cordova / PhoneGap for the first iPad will teach you how to optimize js for speed.
Mobile development is not at all like js.

Development for old devices can teach a lot, even native. This is not an argument for learning JS. I am not eager to teach him, because there is something to do. I'm looking for a very strong argument for this. So powerful as to make me spend at least an hour a day studying. You can learn how to optimize applications in C and Assembler. Swift again, upon closer inspection, it turns out to be very cool. For general development Haskell is advised. There are only 24 hours in a day :)
