Why set up Google Analytic goals, events, and conversions?

Good afternoon, dear experts. Probably a strange question, but I need your help - I'm completely confused.
Given:
I understand now with Google Tag Manager. It is very convenient to manage tags, but now I have added metrics, pixels and 1 conversion for Google Adwords and 1 goal for Ya.Metrika. The last action is related to submitting a form, which in principle is the main indicator of a purchase, but very rare. It is easier for customers in the Contacts section to find a phone number and write to WhatsApp or leave through the site in the social. networks. The company is in GAdwords.
You need to understand:
1) How are Goals, Conversion and Events applicable in this case?
2) Does Conversion Equal Goal? Does it make sense to track the goal and conversions for the same action?
3) What to do with Events?
4) If I have very few conversions, how will the GAdwords "Cost Per Conversion Optimizer" strategy work?
5) What are the main actions on the site you need to fix? Pseudo-goals that make no sense to analyze.
I apologize for such a vague question - maybe send me somewhere on the link to study. Thank you!

It is obvious that it is necessary to apply the school course
. From this it is obvious that the conversion is just the percentage of successfully achieved goals, that is, that a person came alone and bought a conversion of 1 percent

In order to understand, I recommend taking a basic course on web analytics https://roman.ua/internet-marketing/analytics/dist...
Here you can find everything about how to set goals, which ones, and why they are needed and not only.
