Why periodically on the site instead of icons hieroglyphs?

Good afternoon, I ran into a problem, sometimes when reloading the page, hieroglyphs appear instead of icons.
The icons are included in the css file by type: UTF-8 encoding. Example: What could be causing this? Thank you. url(../fonts/icons.woff?z88dg8) format("woff")

Well, the font has time to load.
Check it out, open DevTools (F12), select Network tab, select Font in sections
Then refresh the page without closing DevTools. Your font should appear there.
In general, I advise you to connect it in several formats. This can be done using encoding services, for example https://transfonter.org
At least you can add svg, ttf
