Why parentheses when importing into SCSS @import "../bootstrap.css: {}";?

Who knows what their meaning is? And it works without them.

Most likely, it depends on the technologies used in the project; specifically, I did not see anything about this in the SCSS documentation. But I found a similar special syntax for Meteor-SCSS, more details here in the Importing section, but there are curly braces at the beginning of the path, not at the end.

It is quite likely to support the version when building on gulp or something similar, like style.css?v=1.2
