Why might Linter not work (Atom, MacOS)?

Hello.
Installed the main linter package.
Then I tried to install:
linter-htmlhint
linter-csslint
linter-jshint
linter-php
Installed one by one, simultaneously checking the performance. Nowhere did the error checking work, it always shows 0.
The editor rebooted after installing each add-on.
Why might linter not work?
