Why is Windows installed on the SSD, but does not start, and at the same time everything works on the HDD?
I purchased an SSD (Seagate BarraCuda 120 250gb) for Windows, but after installing Windows on it, when I reboot, I catch (Reboot and select proper Boot device or insert Boot Media in selected Boot device and press a key). I went through the bios and pulled out the old Toshiba HDD 2tb, changed the bios versions, converted it to GPT through the command line, 0 result. I noticed that windows boot is listed as a separate disk from my SSD. Mother of GIGABYTE AORUS Z270X GAMIND 7 REV1. I'm fighting for the third day, please help.

What Windows? In what mode is the gpt or mbr flash drive recorded? Is uefi boot enabled in bios and is security boot disabled? More info needed.
I had the same problem, tried all the advice from Google. As a result, the article at the off site helped. Namely, in the installation section where you select the installation disk, you need to delete all partitions so that one unpartitioned disk remains, and simply install Windows into this unpartitioned disk.

Reformatting a drive with a different partition style
Cleaning and converting a drive using Windows Setup
Turn off your computer and insert your Windows USB key or DVD.
Boot your computer using a USB key or DVD in UEFI mode. For more information, see Boot to UEFI Mode or Legacy BIOS Mode.
When choosing the installation type in Windows installation, select custom.
on the screen where do you want to install Windows? Select each of the partitions on the drive where Windows is being installed and click Remove. The drive will show one area of unallocated space.
Attention!
If your computer has multiple drives, make sure you are deleting partitions on the correct drive.
Select Unallocated space and click Next. Windows will detect that the computer has been booted into UEFI mode, format the drive using the GPT format, and begin installation.
Killed three hours of time, and the answer was close! Thanks to the gigs for their motherboards and UEFI.
Wrote to the manufacturer and sent a replacement. Everything fell perfect. There was a problem with the disk, although it worked perfectly as a non-system one.
