Why is Vagrant hanging?

Mac OS X 10.10-10.11 (It was in both)
Vagrant 1.7.4
VirtualBox 3.0
Everything is as usual:
vagrant init scotch/box
...I enter imported folders into the Vagrantfile .....
vagrant up
And then SOMETIMES there is a plug - everything is connected/ is mounted on 5+, and when ssh starts ringing, everything can go in cycles for 10-20 (more patience was not enough) iterations of such a message "default: Warning: Remote connection disconnect. Retrying ...".
If I understand correctly, the problem is that the machine takes a long time to start and does not have time to raise ssh in an objective time. But gentlemen! The number of connection attempts can be 1-2, maybe 3-4, or it can hang on the above 10-20. By the way, while I was googling and writing this text, I left a hung vagrant and after about 30 reconnects I see the coveted "Machine booted and ready!".
I tried to run c vb.gui = true;, but as luck would have it - in the interface display mode, everything starts for one or two.
I also did not reveal the dependence of the appearance of the problem on the type of launch (from suspend'a, reload'a halt'a or destroy'a) - the chances for a connection cycle are approximately equal .. Well, maybe after a destroy a little higher and that's it.
Specs:
MacBook Late 2009
Intel Core2Duo 2.26GHz
RAM 8GB DDR3
Macintosh HD - SSD SmartBuy MLC; 156 Mb/s R/W
Data HD - Hitachi HDD 500GB 5400rpm;
On the SSD - the system and, accordingly, the binaries of virtualbox, vagrant, etc.
On HDD - Working projects, user folder and vbox images in it.
At the moment of start, only PHPStorm and Safari are running in the system.
PS: I tried to update ruby in the system - I didn't see any difference (the fact of the update is confirmed by ruby -v)
Thanks to those who have read up to here, and special thanks to those who have suggested at least something :)

@OnYourLips

Try with VirtualBox 4.3, with 5.0 vagrant had problems with its release, maybe not everyone managed to fix it.
