Why is updating the kernel in Linux Mint considered dangerous?

Good afternoon. I noticed that when updating LM, the kernel is never updated, it is hidden under level 5 in the update settings. This level is assigned the status: "Dangerous packages". Are kernel updates really that dangerous, as far as I know, the kernel should be considered the highest priority!

With a crooked, not thoughtful update of the kernel, the system stops loading. For example, when updating the kernel in Fedora installed in VirtualBox, the system stops loading until the virtual box tools are rebuilt. And serious errors in the kernel, because of which it is really worth updating, are rarely found. So for the sake of user friendliness, kernel updates are hidden.
I do not use Linux Mint myself, I speak based on experience in other distras.
