Why is there no daemon in Linux?
Hey!
I put the torus, so I run it as a daemon /etc/rc.d/tor start
and there is no file. Copying from /usr/bin/tor did not help.
Any thoughts?

There is stored not compiled software, but "scripts". Open this folder and take a look. In the case of debian, there will be links to init.d, just like the original.
The solution to your problem:
1) take any of the files as a basis and rewrite it for yourself.
2) find a ready-made script in init.d for tor in Google.
