Why is the USB hub not detected?
Good afternoon everyone. I received from China (for some reason our prices have skyrocketed) a USB 3.0 hub, but it does not work (the diode is on, but the devices connected to it are not visible). Moreover, on a brix s PC, it is not visible anywhere at all (even in the device manager), and on another PC with an H61 board, it is defined as an Unknown Device with zero VID / PID. And there, and there, USB 3.0 connection. Could this be due to incorrectly soldered wires to the board?
PS Return is no longer possible, because. accidentally chose instead of Refund, Return item. And in the product description it says that the buyer pays for the return, the package from Kazakhstan to China costs $28)

The way you have this hub assembled, it definitely cannot work like USB 3.0, because 3.0 has more pins.
Judging by your photos, the contacts on the hub board and the contacts on the board of its connector are numbered. You can try, if there is nothing to do, solder the missing five wires.
Advice on what kind of Chinese crap to buy is meaningless, because Chinese products are famous for their unreproducible quality, that is, today someone received a normal device, and tomorrow the same device ordered will be without parts inside.
The controller is crooked or dead - you need to look for factory utilities.
Because the VID / PID is being flashed, and its absence indicates that someone forgot it or could not do it.
I can only send it to flashboot.ru - there is the largest selection of factory utilities, or you need to look for it yourself.
UPD MA8601 USB 2.0 High Speed 4-Port Hub Controller
So this is not a USB 3.0 product at all.
Here you can try to set the VID / PID manually
In principle, there should be an EEPROM'ka that you can try to change and make this thing work.
If the diode is lit, the power polarity is correct. Most likely diff. the pair was not soldered correctly, swap the two central wires.
PS Judging by the docks, Single Transaction Translator (Single TT), this means that if you connect 1.0, 1.1 devices, they will work slowly, because. messages will be queued for broadcast. It is better to take chips with the number of TT blocks equal to the number of ports.
Quartz is not grounded to the case. There should be a wire on it, which is soldered to GND on the board.
