Why is the open-iscsi client not connecting to the target with a login and password?

I connect the client to the target, in the node config I prescribe

node.session.auth.authmethod = CHAP 
node.session.auth.username = login
node.session.auth.password = pass

I restart the service, I get an error

iscsiadm: initiator reported error (24 - iSCSI login failed due to authorization failure)
iscsiadm: Could not log into all portals

If you remove authentication, then the connection to the target passes.

Everything turned out to be simple. It was the password.
The CHAP secret length must be a minimum of 12 characters and a maximum of 16 characters.
