Why is the new SSD (2022) twice as bad as the old one (2010)?
Hello.
I compare on my computer the new ssd AMD r5 sl240gb
And the old OCZ Vertex 4 128 gb
I’ll immediately clarify: I changed the SATA 3 connection cables one by one for each disk, the essence is about the same
Note: Random reading over 4Kb
Here are the results of the old ssd OCZ
Here is the new AMD
Random reading 4Kb each 1 thread:
the new drive is (almost) twice as slow as the old one.
What's the matter? how to interpret? What to do?

Interpret this "well, here's such a disk"
Especially considering that AMD has never produced an SSD, and OCZ, on the contrary, specializes in memory and makes / makes very high-quality products.
Because your old one is one of the best of its time, and your new one is one of the cheapest. Take Samsung XXX EVO. If parrots matter, then the 970 Evo Plus.
ps The real speed practically does not depend on these numbers.
ps The figures are quite normal. I personally don't care if my SSD has 5000 IOPS or 50000 IOPS. The main thing is that the Samsung 860 EVO has stable IOPS, while the deshman can have drawdowns of up to 5-10 IOPS. And the real speed is determined by these drawdowns, not by the parrots you are looking at.
