What OS? What adapters? Perhaps in a fit of joy that the laptop is modern, they poke the button on the F-row "WI-FI ON-OFF"?
On the official website of the laptop manufacturer, download the drivers.
Go to the device manager, find your card there. Right click, then Properties, Details tab. Select Hardware IDs and copy the top line with the ID. Then we go to Google, insert the device ID and look for a match. So you will find either the driver you need or at least the model of the network card. And knowing the card model, finding the correct driver is a matter of one minute.
In laptops of the same model, there are often Wi-Fi modules from different manufacturers. Look carefully on the manufacturer's website for another Wi-Fi driver. Alternatively, you may choose the correct driver, but for a different OS or bit depth.
