Why is the monitor not showing?

I'm sitting on a BenQ V2320H monitor. I have an old 19 "Samsung (4: 3) available. I decided to temporarily connect it, for convenience, as a second monitor. I connect it to DVI, via a VGA-DVI adapter. As a result, there is no picture on Samsung, a black screen, although the system seems to be sees the second monitor. I sinned on the adapter, but Samsung shows separately, but for some reason does not want to do it together.
What else to try?
Video - GTX970. Windows 7.

Here we changed the settings, 71cbba7055ac417ab926764a74fa7df2.jpgas I understand it, on your sams monitor, only one connector is vga.
