Why is the min-width value not being recalculated in the media query?

Made the header using flexbox, relative units (em, rem) and following bem.
1. But for some reason, when I change the html font-size from 1em to 1.5em, the min-width value is not recalculated from 480px to 720px. What does the min-width value specified in em depend on at all?
Am I using bem correctly?
Is it worth it to typeset completely with relative units?
How would you improve this little example ?
