Why is the meta description not showing up?

Tell me why the meta description is not displayed after the html page has been moved to another folder?
Initially, the page was located along this path www.site.com/ (index.html)
Then it was transferred to www.site.com/folder/ (index.html) and the description is not displayed along this path, the preview of the link in Telegram.
Although I removed index.html from the root directory, the description is missing when sending the link.
What could be the problem?

If we are talking specifically about Telegram, then I can say that it is worth showing the link once, how it remembers its description. Once I threw a link, I was asked to change the description, I changed it, but those in tg did not change even when I threw the link again (everything is ok in the browser).
Most likely - TG cookies on your computer.
