Why is the data transfer to the printer slow (very slow printing)?
Good afternoon! Already a year ago I bought a Kyocera FS 1120d. The problem was from the very beginning of using the printer. When sending files to the printer (PDF in particular) more than 1 MB, a terrible stupor begins for about a minute (after warming up, of course) and then, on the page, it prints as it is transferred to the printer (half a minute or a minute per page). Any treatment? I tried to change the cable, put in an additional 512 MB of RAM - nothing, everything is the same. I think that the problem is related to low-quality firewood for Mac OS (which I have). What do you think?
Question two. Recently ran out of toner. I don’t want to buy a cartridge, I want to make a hole on the side (like so many enthusiasts on Yama ) and pour toner into it. Which is better for this model (from the price-quality ratio)?

The problem has already been solved by installing the encryption driver (in the program, you can choose one of two methods). It turns out that native Kiserov's KPDL significantly worsens the speed of pdf printing. Therefore, I rearranged it to PDL and that's it - printing immediately became instant. Why does KPDL slow down PDF so much? I don’t know, but I read the fact on the pages of the forum. And further. The set of drivers built into Mac OS already includes most well-known printer brands. If you have such a company, then there should be no problems with printing and drivers. The latter simply can not be installed. Alas, there is no kiser there. Therefore, first we install the printer driver, then the KPDL encryption driver (there are two separate files on the site). Change the encryption method to PDL. We cut the printer by cable. And only then will he get up well.
At first, I did not install anything, I just printed on native wood (which is not there, and therefore printing is very slow and unbearable). Then I installed the driver, after removing my printer from the list of installed ones. Printing is better, but PDF is still slow. Then the encryption driver changed the method to PDL and finally: Hurray! HURRAH! HURRAH! Printing has become excellent - that is, this should be done if the printer has already been cut, but no drivers have been installed.
Check printing from under Windows (for example, from a virtual machine), if the speed is ok - it's about firewood. But most likely in the cable.
Pouring toner from the side most likely will not work, you also need to deceive the chip.
