Why is software increasingly using "inferior" installers?

A quick question: why more and more often do you have to deal with installers of programs that weigh nothing and download a complete installer from the Internet?
Take at least Yandex.Browser, Skype, Java... It's
terribly inconvenient to install software on a slow, constantly torn Internet.
Yes, it would be fine, but why every time you have to google where the link to the full installer is located ??? Are the developers really such idiots that they do not want to post 2 links to download the product?
Now I spent some time looking for a link to the browser from Yandex, in the end I decided to stay on Chrome. Because time is more valuable.

I myself tried to find a ready-made solution for this slider, but I did not find anything better than - https://materializecss.com/carousel.html . I had to tinker a bit with the adaptive for 320px device resolutions.

Sergey, slick ( kenwheeler.github.io/slick/ ) will not disappoint. Very clear and convenient settings for all elements of the slider, adaptive.

1) Constant relevance of the installation version
2) Superficial data about the system on which the installation is being done. You can spy, or you can specify if you need to install it on a 32-bit or 64-bit system. With some skill, you can even offer an assembly that works more optimally on your computer.
